Biography

I am a watercolor and colored pencil artist that is local to Nashville, TN. In all my artwork, I layer color to achieve depth and detail. With my watercolors, this is in the form of layered washes with small, careful brush strokes overlaid. With my colored pencil work, I overlay color, blending until there is rich, complex shades that compliment the details of the piece. I often mix the two mediums, first layering washes, then reworking with colored pencil to create enhanced detail and celebrate the complexities in the subject.
